Mineral exploration geologist with 17 years of experience on projects throughout western Canada and the United States. Work experience throughout the exploration and mining cycle, including: generative target development, initial drill testing, resource delineation and feasibility studies, and reserve replenishment in an active mine environment. Previous work encompasses a variety of deposit types, commodities, districts, and geological terranes. Experience includes: Northern British Columbia porphyry copper-gold; Alaska and Yukon orogenic and intrusion-related gold, Ontario orogenic gold, Nevada Carlin-style gold, and Kootenay Arc lead-zinc. Fortunate to have had opportunities to learn from some excellent mentors, and to have worked on several world-class deposits and ore bodies. Skills include leadership of geoscience exploration teams, generative target development at various scales, field mapping and 3D geological modelling, drill program management, project leadership, contractor supervision, project evaluations, and technical communication. Interested in mineral deposits and metallogenic belts. Enjoys generative to early-stage exploration that incorporates a variety of tools and data sets. Respects our history of discovery, but also seeks opportunities to develop new ideas and employ new technologies. Firm believer that initial area selection and development of a strong team are critical keys to successful exploration.
