Ph.D. in Civil and Structural Engineering with a focus on computational solid mechanics, multi-physics and multi-scale numerical simulations, structural and topology optimization, linear and non-linear finite element analysis, optimization algorithms, fracture/damage constitutive modeling and linear and non-linear structural dynamics. Exceptional academic record out of graduate school, including 19 high-impact journal papers (11 first-authored) together with 10 conference oral presentations. Extensive experience and knowledge of statistical inference, machine learning, stochastic simulation, reliability analysis and uncertainty quantification. Proficient in Python, Matlab, Fortran and R scripting; working experience in C/C++ scripting.
