ABOUT LEHEL SALAT

There is no one reason why I choose to pursue a carrier in cybersecurity and computer forensics, instead, there is a combination of reasons. I feel that I have always been an engineer at heart, as a kid I was regularly taking mechanical things apart trying to make impossible with very little resources. I have made my degree course choices based around my love of computers and all things computing can offer. With the constant advance of computer systems and applications, there is a huge increase in computer crime, cyber terrorism, data breaches, unethical hacking, and the list can go on. This is one of the computer sciences courses that I have a great interest in, particularly, the methods behind these actions and the countermeasures to stop them. I believe that there is no linear path to a successful career in cybersecurity and that they all start with general IT experience. I had one of my best experiences and achievements during my placement year, I had access to resources and support more than I ever could have imagined.Thanks to a supportive group of people my personal and professional skills have increased significantly. There is certainly more to learn, more to build, and more problems to solve.
