Serves as the campus advisor for nationally competitive study abroad scholarship programs. Liaises with international education professionals at the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and program agencies (IIE, CAORC, AED) to advise undergraduate students in developing competitive applications to study abroad scholarship programs. Successfully applied for the 2022 IDEAS Grant from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Created a study abroad survey for employees to identify faculty interest in studying abroad, then promoted opportunities to East Asia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and Western Europe. Selected as one of fourteen study abroad professionals nationwide to participate in the pilot, Building Pathways to Global Careers for Community College Students Pilot, hosted by the Community Colleges for International Development (CCID). Designed and implemented a study abroad survey to determine students\' interests in study abroad during the pandemic to align campus resources to promote virtual and in-person exchange opportunities. Partners with the UH Office of the Vice President for Community Colleges to apply for nationally competitive pilot programs and extramural funding opportunities to expand study abroad programming. Serves as a subject matter expert for grants, contracts, and private/foundation awards to international education professionals at the UH Community Colleges.
