A senior cyber security leader known for bringing structure, clarity, and sound judgement to complex organisations.I’m currently Group Head of Cyber Security (Identity) at Coventry Building Society Group, following the acquisition of The Co-operative Bank. I work at the intersection of identity, assurance, and risk, helping large, regulated organisations make security decisions that stand up to scrutiny and support delivery.With over 15 years in financial services, I’ve led assurance and identity-governance functions that go beyond compliance. My focus is on building controls that actually work in practice, across legacy estates, cloud platforms, and large-scale transformation programmes. I regularly translate frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001 into pragmatic, scalable approaches that teams can live with.I’ve shaped security strategy through direct engagement with regulators, driven closure of high-priority audit findings, and built inclusive teams that perform under pressure. Alongside my executive role, I’ve held non-executive positions in the public sector, which has strengthened my perspective on governance, accountability, and long-term risk.What sets me apart is a bias for clarity over complexity.
