ABOUT LEELAA AGRAVAT
I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016 with a 2:1 in history. From July 2017 to July 2019, I was a Teach First participant and employed by Waterhead Academy, Greater Manchester. Here, I developed my leadership skills in the classroom, teaching KS3 and KS4 classes and outside the classroom by leading various professional development sessions. When I completed PGDE in 2019, I briefly took a break from teaching when moving to London to fulfil the role of working as an information officer at The Supreme Court. This role allowed me to continue educational outreach work, providing schools with the opportunity to create links with the Supreme Court, understanding more about what the court does. I returned to teaching in 2020, taking a place at a Kensington Park School in London where I began as a teacher of history. I was then promoted to Head of Humanities after one year. I aim to develop my leadership skills and I am currently completing a Masters in Education with the University of Manchester.
