   My role has been to build Digital Branch Experience (DBX); a new portfolio focused on the entire digital experience of our 20k branch teams across the US and Canada. I play a key role in our agile product development transformation, helping teach product leaders, agile coaches, and technology leaders how to adopt new roles and ways of working. Edward Jones has experienced unprecedented growth in the history of our 100 year old company. DBX has grown from 16 to 50+ teams since 2020. Some accomplishments- Production defect rate dropped by 25%, helpdesk calls dropped by over 77% in one key product in less than six months - New ways of delivering change leading to better field satisfaction: iterative development practices leading to smaller sets of change hitting the field allows users to adopt new features with less need for documentation and training - Increased test automation coverage and reduced manual testing time across dozens of products and systems - Taught leaders how to leverage Conway\'s Law to re-architect several systems in order to scale up development teams and achieve the desired increase in speed of development. Some systems grew their development team size by up to 7x- Teams use behavioral data to prioritize feature gaps as they build out MVPs of new features that run in parallel to the old - Metrics driven product development enables our teams to focus on what matters: time on task reduced by 30-65% in key workflows - A culture of continuous improvement means smart folks we hire feel empowered to seize opportunity when they see it. One example: an API starter kit that saved over 1k hours of developer time - Leaders in my portfolio track team health metrics and demonstrate continuous improvement. Across every product our cycle time, predictability, and quality have improved dramatically.
