ABOUT LEE PERRY

Currently internal communications manager at Legal Business\' Law Firm of the Year 2022, and a recent winner of The Lawyer\'s national law firm of the year, Shoosmiths. I\'m very fortunate and proud to have been given this opportunity after moving from the PR team and to work for a great firm. Learning every day! On the PR side of things, I had our solicitors on News At Ten talking about pensions and BHS, The Times commenting on planning regulations, or our newest recruits given a full page spread in the Yorkshire Post. I\'ve also drafted numerous awards submissions - scooping gongs along the way. I\'m an award-winning qualified journalist with 18 years\' experience in: television (researcher, scriptwriter and presenter); writing for Britain\'s biggest selling regional daily the Express & Star copies a day at the time); a national/international press office for the National Farmers Union, as well as its in-house magazine. I was Deputy Editor at the award-winning British Farmer & Grower magazine - during my time there, it won Independent Publisher Awards Magazine of the Year Awards, 2016. The magazine was noted for its gatefold European Referendum coverage - which I led on and liaised with more than 40 contributors - producing copy for both a Stay or Leave outcome. Quite the job! I have written editorial comment pieces (for others) in many of the nationals, including words in The Times, and sold-in news stories into all the major national press, as well as The Wall Street Journal, secured editorial for zero-budget campaigns in The Independent, Mail on Sunday, The Sun and many more. I\'ve given media advice and support to outlets like Newsnight, The One Show, BBC Breakfast, Channel 4 News, Sky, Countryfile and all the national papers. I\'ve also written for News of the World (RIP) and farming trade magazines. And I\'ve been quoted in a variety of media along the way! At the E&S I reviewed world-class artists such as Beyonce, Willie Nelson, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Kylie, Amy Winehouse and many more. I\'ve interviewed people like Jack Johnson, Panic at the Disco, and country legend Don Williams, and national icons Lionel Blair and Keith Chegwin (RIP)! I\'ve also had work published for travel, theatre, books, video games and more.
