Lee Erickson is at the forefront of NASA\'s video technology, leading Enterprise Video Services under the agency\'s $2.5 billion Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology Solutions (AEGIS) program. This Leidos-managed initiative provides a comprehensive communications backbone for NASA. Erickson oversees critical video infrastructure across all NASA centers, including networks, cybersecurity, and communication systems.A key achievement for Erickson was spearheading NASA’s transition to IP-based video delivery, which significantly boosted the flexibility and efficiency of the agency\'s video services. He engineered an advanced infrastructure facilitating external IP delivery and seamless video sharing between NASA centers, vital for the agency\'s demand for high-quality, secure video transmission for its diverse and evolving missions.Recently, Erickson utilized the Enterprise Video Content Delivery Network (EVCDN) core to manage four live camera feeds from the OSIRIS-REx mission back to control centers. He also oversaw the distribution of NASA-TV coverage of this event to global platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and traditional broadcasters. His work in this capacity marks a substantial advancement for science and technology initiatives within NASA IT, the AEGIS program, and for Leidos.With over 18 years of experience at NASA, Erickson has held roles such as Service Line Manager and Streaming Media Lead. His earlier career included positions at The New York Times and Fox Television. In addition to his NASA work, he owns Dancers Inc. in Decatur, AL.Erickson’s contributions have earned him notable accolades, including a NASA Silver Achievement Award. He was part of the team recognized with Emmy, Webby, and Gold Telly awards for their coverage of the Artemis I mission.
