About Lee Cottrell
I am a life long lover of technology. Since the age of 12, I have owned and programmed a computer. I have programmed successfully in Basic, ForTran, COBOL, C/C++, C#, Visual Basic, HTML, and Java. Most of the languages were self taught. As I matured as a computer professional, I learned networking and databases. I really enjoy working with servers and large databases. I understand how these products benefit a business, and am a champion of databases for my students. I have been a successful technology instructor for a wide variety of products. I have successfully used and taught Windows Server products, enterprise database software, web design and programming in several languages. I know that my teaching style is very effective in reaching teen and adult students. My administration experience was very positive. I transformed my company from a series of independent computer labs with no connectivity to a large scale Windows LAN. In the process, I helped change the school into a technology leader. I have published many technology books. The topics range from HTML5 to Linux. The Amazon reviews of my books have been very positive. I believe that my teaching style really shows through in my writing. Specialties: Teaching, curriculum design, database design and programming, system configuration, security.
