About Lee Ann del Carpio

I wrote my first white paper on disruption in 2016 — years before the word entered every boardroom. By 2020, everyone was using it. By 2025, disruption wasn’t just organizational anymore. It was cognitive. That changed everything about what I thought I was building. I’ve spent 25 years working in a place most leadership development doesn’t even know it’s missing — the invisible layer beneath strategy where the quality of human presence either amplifies everything an organization is trying to build, or quietly erodes it.Clients at GE, Merck, Mayo Clinic, Amway, St. Joseph’s Medical Center, and Kamehameha Schools and across more than 50 countries say I change what’s possible inside a room. I would say I simply see what others have been trained to ignore. For most of my career, the question was: what allows a leader to navigate disruption without losing clarity, coherence, or conviction? Now the question has changed. What happens to human judgment, agency, and decision-making when AI becomes part of how we think, decide, and lead? That question led me to build something I’d been preparing for without knowing it. The Waterwheel of Deeply Human Leadership© — a proprietary framework built on four capacities AI cannot replicate: Clarity, Congruence, Courage, and Co-Creation. A suite of physiology-first programs — Reset and Rewire™, Redefine and Align™, and Recalibrate for Impact™ — because before a leader can navigate AI-driven complexity, their nervous system has to be ready for it. And Deeply Human, Inc. — the practice that brings it all to life through immersive workshops and Leading Labs with Fortune organizations. But practice alone is no longer enough. If this work is going to matter at the level it needs to, it must be measurable, evidence-based, and built into something that outlasts any one person or organization. That is why I invited Gretchen Terry-Leonard to co-found the Center for Deeply Human Leadership — an independent research institution and the scientific foundation behind the practice. At the center of our work is a question the AI industry is not structured to ask:What is sustained AI collaboration doing to the human capacity to discern, decide, and lead? If the early signals hold, developing that capacity isn’t optional. It’s organizational immunity. This is the work I’ve spent my life building. Now it becomes something larger. If you’re building, funding, or navigating AI at scale — and you see the same gap — we should talk.
