ABOUT LEEANN MAKARA

Passionate, nimble visionary able to adapt and excel in fast paced, high traffic dining environments. My tenacious passion, energy, and leadership skills are evidenced in my rise from line cook to Executive Chef in a short amount of time. My love of art and history can be expressed through food and bring smiles to everyone’s faces. My motto is creative food that inspires, excites, and fuels the soul. In the kitchen, I am known for making my team smile, thoughtful menus, larger than life work ethic, and using my artistic skills in decorative garnishing. In my recent career at the Executive leadership level, I have focused on developing chef talent, creating an inviting working environment, and exceeding projected profits through process and purchase improvements. Strong foundations are built by leaders that truly value their teams. My leadership style is definitely by example as there is not job I will not do alongside my work family. Year over year, my performance exceeds expectations earning me Darden’s (parent company) Top Performing Executive Chef. I strive to continually grow my knowledge in both in my culinary and leadership skills.
