I’m a data and engineering leader with over 15 years’ experience delivering enterprise analytics platforms, modern data architectures, and large-scale transformation programmes.My career began in business intelligence and analytics before progressing into leadership roles responsible for engineering teams, analytics platforms, and data strategy.At AdviseInc I joined as a Lead Qlik Sense Developer and progressed through several leadership roles including Head of Visualisation, Head of Software, and Head of Engineering, helping to build and scale the organisation’s analytics and data platform.During this time I have led a number of major initiatives including:• Leading the rebuild of the AdviseInc analytics platform, consolidating legacy tools into a modern unified architecture• Delivering a data platform transformation, implementing a modern stack including Snowflake and dbt• Leading development of an award-winning pandemic tracking platform delivering critical operational insights during COVID-19• Delivering enterprise analytics solutions used by organisations to drive operational and strategic decision makingIn 2024 I was invited to speak at Qlik Connect in Orlando, presenting the AdviseInc analytics platform and data architecture to a global audience.I’m passionate about building scalable data platforms, high-performing engineering teams, and data-driven organisations.Areas of focus include:• Data platform strategy• Analytics platform architecture• Engineering leadership• Modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, cloud platforms)• Enterprise analytics and insight platforms
