About Lee Letsch

In both my personal and professional realms, I adhere to fundamental values that guide my actions and choices. Communication, fostering relationships, accountability, perseverance, and responsibility form the cornerstone of my character. These principles not only steer my path but also evolve and adapt with each passing year. I prioritize clear, transparent communication, rejecting hidden agendas and embracing honesty and sincerity. I value my connections within my community, finding fulfillment in meaningful interactions. I commit to completing tasks with quality and on time, recognizing the importance of reliability. With unwavering determination, I plan and share my goals to ensure clarity and focus. I embrace the responsibility of caring for others and contributing to positive change, fulfilling my duties with integrity and leveraging resources for impact. During my tenure spanning over two decades with Oregon FFA, I have held various roles, culminating in my current position as the Executive Secretary for the Association. What began as an internship has evolved into a pivotal role, where I have spearheaded numerous initiatives amidst challenging budget constraints. In 2003, there were fewer than FFA members across 93 FFA chapters, which were served by 122 agricultural teachers. Fast forward to today, and we boast over 14,500 FFA members spread across 118 FFA chapters, supported by a total of 197 agricultural teachers, with 163 of them serving as FFA advisors. Now, collaborating with a team of six dedicated staff team members, I have played a key role in crafting and executing programs aligned with our organizational objectives to continue to serve our growing population of members, advisors, and industry stakeholders. My experience has been characterized by continuous skill development in planning, engagement, leadership and organizational management. Collaborating closely with diverse teams and stakeholders, I have successfully developed operational procedures, coordinated impactful events and conferences, and ensured fiscal balance within the Association.
