Lee’s practice focuses on both transactional and litigation matters involving real estate, secured and unsecured lending, and corporate matters. In depth experience on both the transactional and litigation side of these matters allows Lee to effectively structure deals, understand and anticipate potential problem areas, and advise clients to efficiently resolve potential and existing issues. Lee also frequently drafts and analyzes legislation in these areas.In his transactional practice, Lee regularly advises, assists and represents: • Real estate developers in the acquisition, development, financing, zoning and sale of retail, office, multifamily, industrial, and other commercial and residential projects; • Lenders in the negotiation and documentation of real estate, asset based and other secured lending transactions; • Lenders and other creditors in workouts and the disposition of distressed loans and assets; and • Syndicators and developers in matters throughout the country involving low income housing tax credits. In his litigation practice, Lee regularly advises, assists and represents: • Bank and non-bank lenders and creditors in pursuing judicial and non-judicial remedies against debtors; • Bank and non-bank lenders in defending claims involving arising from loan and foreclosure disputes; • Property owners and title insurance companies on real property issues, such as matters involving title disputes, lease issues, quiet title actions, ownership disputes, adverse possession, trespass, wrongful foreclosure and eviction; • Lenders in the appointment of receiverships to manage corporate assets; • Bond trustees in the enforcement of remedies on defaulted bonds; and • Creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.In addition to these transactional and litigation matters, Lee regularly speaks about, is consulted on, and assists with both transactional and litigated matters involving tax sales of real property.
