As Business Development Manager at Mullan Lighting, I lead strategic growth initiatives across the UK and international markets, working closely with interior designers, architects, and procurement teams to deliver tailored lighting solutions for high-end commercial, hospitality, and residential projects.I manage relationships from concept to completion, collaborating with our in-house design and production teams to ensure each piece meets both aesthetic and technical specifications. With a focus on bespoke, handcrafted lighting, I help clients translate design intent into beautifully resolved luminaires that balance form and function.My role combines commercial insight with creative understanding, allowing me to navigate complex project needs, value-engineer where necessary, and bring a consultative approach to every stage—from initial pitch and technical drawings to sampling, manufacturing, and final delivery.Key areas of responsibility include: • Driving new business through targeted outreach and long-term relationship building • Managing key accounts and nurturing repeat clients through transparent communication and design-led service • Coordinating with our Irish manufacturing team to ensure timely project delivery • Contributing to product development by relaying market trends and client feedback • Representing Mullan Lighting at trade events and in design communitiesWorking remotely, I’m embedded in the design landscape while staying closely connected to our factory in Ireland. I take pride in championing our story: a team of craftspeople and designers creating distinctive lighting from a 200 year old Mill in Ireland.
