ABOUT LEE G.

I am a UEFA-qualified football coach with over 20 years of experience in professional and grassroots football, most recently coaching as the Lead Coach for Notts County’s U10s Academy. Throughout my career, I have specialised in player development, mentoring, and creating environments that empower young athletes to reach their potential. Alongside my career in football, I have spent the last 10 years in construction management. I have led multi-trade teams, managed site operations, and ensured high-quality project delivery. Beyond football and construction, I have a deep passion for working with young people who are disengaged from education or facing vulnerability. My experience as Deputy SENCO running Alternative Provisions has shaped my understanding of how trust, consistency, and the right environment can change lives. Now, as the Founder of Strive Learning & Interventions, I am bridging the gap for young people who refuse education and alternative provisions, struggle with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges, or are at risk of exploitation. Strive offers tailored mentoring, holistic interventions, and engagement through sports, hobbies, and therapeutic approaches—ensuring that no young person is left behind. I believe in never giving up on young people, no matter their past setbacks. Through Strive, I aim to provide pathways back into education, employment, and positive social engagement.
