ABOUT LEE FORD

Lee has 25+ years hands-on experience in the Health Information Management & Practice Management Field. His business focus is on risk coding, reimbursement auditing & education for physician/medical practices, & providing compliance education in physician setting. In addition to providing business services, Lee provides a wide range of seminars to clients and numerous associations & organizations focusing on outpatient & physician reimbursement and documentation improvement. Leaving January 2023, Lee was formerly employed as a member of the leadership team and shared his talent and wisdom as the Regulatory Services Manager for a large, progressive multi-specialty physician group in Greenville, NC, where he oversaw a talented team of risk coders, auditors, and conducted direct provider education. Lee continues to be an effective leader & volunteer with NCHIMA & various healthcare associations. Lee formerly represented NCHIMA as Director, President, President-Elect, Vice President, & Chair of Special Projects focusing on ICD-10-CM & PCS Implementation, Education & Training, and also as a former Coding Roundtable Chair. One of the many great accomplishments of volunterring was leading the 2010, 2011, & 2013 North Carolina ICD-10 Summits & being awarded a 2011 AHIMA Triumph Award for his vision & leadership implementing ICD-10 within NC & nationally. Lee also formerly served as co-chair of the nationally recognized NCHICA ICD-10 Taskforce, and volunteered on various AHIMA and national industry committees.
