ABOUT LEE COOLEY

Personal Profile I’ve been in manufacturing for over 35 loyal years and have worked my way up from the ground floor production operator to production manager. In this journey I have touched many different job functions such as supervisor of quality and metrology department, manufacturing engineering as a M/E technician, scheduler/planner, time study, set up man and mechanic, lean champion training, tool room supervisor, Proto-type supervisor, as well as attending many training seminars from leadership, and team building, to many computer classes. All culminating in being promoted onto part of the management team. Working at Stanadyne an automotive and off road OEM manufacturer of diesel injection pumps and nozzles for 35 years was the greatest experience as it has always been a forward thinking company. This gave me a great understanding and exposure to the many different aspects of manufacturing. I then took a position for the oldest family owned sporting and hunting gun manufacturer in the USA \"O.F. Mossberg & sons\" as production manager. That lead to Troy industries as production manager where our team worked on new and innovative ideas in the gun industry. After a nation wide slow down in this industry I was lucky to transition into the aerospace industry with Horst Engineering and manufacturing in East Hartford, then to Barnes Aerospace and Triumph aerospace. Its been a great journy to date and Ive been lucky to have worked with a lot of great people and mentors in my career. Manufacturing is an ever changing field with many oppertunities never gets old.
