I am a highly qualified, highly experienced and passionate Health and Safety professional. I work with diligence and integrity and have experience with attaining and retaining ISO accreditation, RISQS accreditation, HSE consent and improving all facets of team performance from leading indicators and project specific initiatives which aim to reduce the number of accidents and sustain a zero-accident culture. Coordinating and driving several awareness campaigns which drives the right behaviour in managing risks and a mature safety culture. I have a proven ability to think objectively, develop safety related strategies and provide dynamic leadership to drive operational safety improvements, working in partnership with others. I have a hands-on approach and have had many successful experiences with many types of continuous improvement techniques. I like to work in a lean organised manner and strive to motivate by example. I have a passion for Health and Safety with a desire to help implement it in a positive manner within the workplace. With a positive and flexible approach, safety can be communicated to all different levels within a business and if done correctly can have an impact from top to bottom. Seeing the benefits of my advice is a key driver in my approach. I have extensive experience in a variety of safety environments and take great pride in my work. Working now for Applied Inspection as part of the Senior Management Team, as Group Health, Safety and Environmental Director in the challenging field of Non-Destructive Testing, material testing and welding. I ensure work with ionising radiation is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the IRR17. Managing the radiological protection in aspects of all works along with all Environmental and Health and Safety matters across the business. Applied Inspection Ltd is an ISO and RISQS accredited NDT services company providing Non Destructive Testing, Welding, Welder Training and Materials Testing both on site and from one of three fully equipped laboratories.As Group Health, Safety and Environmental Director I drive the positive culture of Health, Safety and sustainability throughout the business, by setting a standard of accountability, addressing safety matters and prioritising team members feedback to solve operational issues along with streamlining processes. Building relationships and trust, driving my colleagues to consistently do the right thing and supporting them with the relevant information and training required.
