High Voltage Senior Authorised Person (HV SAP) – DUB15 Gas PlantThe DUB15 Gas Plant is a multi‑train, gas‑fired standby power generation facility that supports the DUB15 Data Centre campus. Designed to deliver up to 75 MW at 20 kV, it provides resilient backup power to critical loads during utility disturbances and full grid outages.In my role as the High Voltage Senior Authorised Person (HV SAP), I represent the client on site with full responsibility for the safe control, operation, and management of all HV electrical systems across the facility.Key Responsibilities- Lead the safe operation and control of high‑voltage systems across the gas plant- Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules, statutory legislation, and site‑specific procedures- Plan, approve, and execute HV switching operations for maintenance, commissioning, and fault response- Authorise Permits for Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitations of Access- Verify isolation, earthing, and system configuration prior to granting access to HV equipment- Review and approve RAMS for all high‑voltage activities- Provide technical oversight during commissioning, load‑transfer operations, and system testing- Support RFC/CAB processes and ensure HV systems are safely returned to normal operational state- Maintain accurate operational records, switching schedules, and system documentation- Mentor and support Authorised and Competent Persons- Protect HV assets by ensuring operation within design, operational, and protection parameters.
