About Lee A. Graham
My education in ecosystems ecology honed my interest in the emerging field of spatial models in ecology It was only natural I would discover the developing field of geographic information systems (GIS). GIS was just taking off in the 1980s and before long I was developing my own remote sensing platforms to capture my own data for use in various mapping-related projects. I have now been working in GIS for over 30 years. Today, I can claim the following expertise:Enterprise GIS Architecture - all aspectsPortal for ArcGIS - all aspects - architecture, installation, administration, configuration, tuning, content curation and publication, custom web templates and applications, policyArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Online for Organizations, Portal for ArcGIS - administration, publication, custom web templates and applications, content curation and publication, policyArcGIS Server - all aspects - architecture, installation, configuration, tuning, administrationGIS Web Application Development (Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, JSAPI, Flex, Silverlight, Esri Maps for Sharepoint, various OpenSource GIS APIs)General Web DevelopmentMobile GIS development, which started with ArcGIS Mobile and now continues with Esri\'s Mobile SDKs and their easy to use Survey 123 and Collector for ArcGIS and related products.ArcGIS Development (Python, VB/C#/ArcObjects, VBA)SQL Server Development Oracle DevelopmentGIS and RDBMS - hardware and software maintenance

Technical Lead
Apr 2011 — Present · Houston, TX, US
My recent work covers a wide range of projects involving mobile and web-based GIS development, GIS architecture, and automation of GIS workflows. Two cool recent projects involve developing a repeatable process for assessing the relative benefits of projects for North Slope of Alaska Native communities and developing a proof of concept Statewide Damage Assessment program Oregon (for which implementation funding from the State is now being sought). In 2016, I wrapped up 4 years the GIS Technical Lead for a major oil company\'s oil spill response and recovery project. I coordinated the developer team and and did hands-on mobile and web-based map viewer and widget development as part of my responsibilities on that project. This included all of ArcGIS for Windows Mobile data collection projects and their web-based map viewers. These applications made it possible for biologists to record field observations on bird and turtle nesting and best management practices while clean-up crews working on removing oil and see each other\'s efforts in near-real time for a 4-state area with hundreds of field personnel. I served on the Architecture Team for the organization, working with the Business and Management to make sure the GIS Team was following process rules relating to change management, disaster recovery, etc. As part of this project, Portal for ArcGIS was fully implemented in a multi-environment setup, and web-based map viewers were migrated from Silverlight and ArcGIS for SharePoint to a Portal friendly Javascript API code base built around ArcGIS WebApp Builder. In addition, ArcGIS Online for Organizations was implemented for some external mapping efforts, using Amazon Web Services to drive the database and ArcGIS for Server components serving the geospatial data.I am looking forward to working on a number of RDI projects as a subject matter expert on enterprise GIS architecture, and on several projects requiring either Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online.
