Key Responsibilities:• Lead and manage the Fixed Income Settlements Controls team, ensuring effective risk management and governance.• Oversee the trade settlement process, monitoring exceptions, breaks, and failed trades to ensure timely resolution.• Develop, implement, and enhance control frameworks to minimize operational risks and financial losses.• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as CSDR, MiFID, and other market standards.• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for settlement issues and implement corrective actions to improve processes.• Manage and oversee daily reconciliations, exception handling, and regulatory reporting for fixed income transactions.• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Compliance, IT, and other key stakeholders to enhance settlement controls and risk mitigation strategies.• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on risk controls, efficiency improvements, and regulatory changes.• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.• Prepare and present risk assessments, reports, and operational dashboards to leadership and governance committees.• Act as the escalation point for high-priority settlement risks, resolving complex issues with internal and external parties, including custodians and clearinghouses.• Foster a strong risk culture within the team by mentoring and training junior staff on best practices in settlements control.Qualifications & Experience:• Strong knowledge of fixed income securities, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes (e.g, Euroclear, Clearstream, DTCC).• Expertise in risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational governance.• Proficiency in settlement platforms, risk monitoring tools, and reconciliation systems.• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Alteryx, Power BI, Python, or process automation tools is a plus.• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
