ABOUT LEARI-JENEE J.

Hi, I\'m Leari (she/they)! I think of myself as an analytical optimist on a journey to catalyze lasting change. My path ignited during college through the Inside Out Prison Exchange Program. Conversations with incarcerated peers revealed the urgency to break the school-to-prison cycle. As a national program teacher in under-resourced communities, I witnessed the disparities faced by Black and Brown young people, propelling me to pioneer anti-racist classrooms and foster inclusive learning. My leadership journey blossomed, transforming into a movement. Collaborating, I shaped diversity action plans, reimagined discipline, and kindled inclusivity. However, my ambitions transcended individual schools, leading me to my current role as Director of Curriculum and marketing. Here, I craft revolutionary curricula alongside community members, uplifting Baltimore City\'s youth as innovators, entrepreneurs, and design thinkers. Once an activist and organizer, I\'ve embraced the role of a change steward. My passion is rooted in dismantling oppression, especially for the global majority\'s youth. As a catalyst, I champion innovation, ushering diversity, equity, and inclusion. This journey is about empowerment through collaboration, creating spaces that nurture tomorrow\'s world leaders. I plan for my Graduate studies to enrich my quest, fostering discussions, new insights, and collaboration. Ahead, I\'m steadfast in the \"do with, not for\" approach. I envision shaping education spaces for diverse, equitable experiences, and fostering a new generation of empowered leaders.
