The Jacobson received high praise from its opening in 2012. Garnering such accolades as Best New Restaurant, Best Business Lunch, Best KC Patio and continued as one of Kansas City\'s premier independent restaurants until closing and sale due to the pandemic in 2020.In 2021 Michael was hired to develop & launce Bamboo An exciting new chef-driven Thai food concept in the upscale live, work & play development Park Place, in Leawood Kansas, with the local ownership.Bamboo Pennys is also the home of The Bamboo Room an exotic rooftop dining & entertainment experience unlike anything in the Kansas City Metro.
