Taking a community-engaged approach to research, I develop and lead cross-functional teams (intra-organizational) and cross-sector collaborations (inter-organizational) to address the complex social and environmental issues that no single organization, or even sector, can address alone. Whether the issue is developing sustainable, accessible, and resilient food systems or inclusive innovation & entrepreneurship, I bring humility, deep listening, strategy, trust-building, bridging, tolerance for uncertainty, and a well-developed toolbox of organizational development tools to take a systems, or ecosystems, approach to researching and creating a more socially and just future. I actively involve the voices of those who have been marginalized or disadvantaged to truly understand the problem(s), which is critical for generating, implementing, evaluating, and improving solutions.
