Serve as a leader in community outreach programs to the public regarding blood cancer awareness.Increase patient interest in cancer clinical trials by providing general clinical trials education to individuals.Expedite multidisciplinary clinical care including referrals to subspecialists relevant to blood cancer care (renal, cardiology, orthopedics, etc.) as well as consideration/referral for stem cell transplant.Serve as part of the blood cancer Disease Management teams including discussion of clinical trials and patient management, and ensuring that all practitioners are aware of and considering all patients for relevant clinical studies (and coordinating with the main cancer center team).Participate in professional educational programs on clinical trials and clinical care with hematological malignancies.Act as a key entry point for patients into our system to facilitate timely referrals and management and track and provide metric on patients seen at the center.
