About Leah L. White
As the Director of Organizational Development at Skokie Public Library, I lead the holistic development of the library\'s organizational culture, practices, and systems to improve the overall effectiveness of the library staff and organization. With over 8 years of experience in human resources for libraries, I have successfully overseen all staff learning and development, identified skill gaps, and designed training to support staff learning. I have also led teams to develop new tools and services for staff, such as a new performance management systems, customer service standard creation, and policy development, as well as overseeing and administering a robust continuing education budget. Additionally, I serve as a member of the library\'s leadership team, managing a team of human resources professionals, assisting with the execution of strategic goals, and participating in strategic planning and policy development. My passion is to create a positive and supportive work environment that fosters growth and excellence for all staff members.
