About Leah Hinton
I am a singer/songwriter, musician, performer, producer, business woman. I\'m from Henderson, NC, and have studied music classically in high school at Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, MI. I am also a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Ma, with a bachelors in Music Business with a concentration in Jazz voice. My new single, ‘Teach Me’ and my EP ‘Sonkissed’ can be found on all music purchasing and streaming platforms. Studying music has allowed me to perform in recitals, concerts and festivals such as the Mozart Music Festival, in Vienna, Austria with The Capital City Girl’s Choir traveled to Vienna, Austria. Also, I traveled to Valencia, Spain to study abroad through Berklee and also attended Midem 2013 in Cannes, France and performed in the loval venues there. Influences include Jesus Christ, my parents, Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Dianne Reeves, Sammy Davis Jr, Sade, Anita O’day, India Arie, Erykah Badu, Adele, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Mary Mary, Robin Thicke, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Esperanza Spalding, Miles Davis, Al Jarreau, Nancy Wilson, Sounds of Blackness, Take 6, and Quincy Jones, just to name a few.
