As a professional interior designer working in the commercial code-regulated realm of the built environment, I view myself as a problem-solver, mixing pragmatism and technical knowledge with an aesthetic expression to create safe, smart, functional and beautiful architectural interiors that positively impact the human experience. I am a seasoned designer with over thirty years of experience. I have a mature and professional demeanor combined with a youthful energy and attitude that comes from a foundation built on education and experience, generating a confidence in my skills and abilities. I take my profession seriously, but myself - not so much! I love what I do and am passionate about interior design - it is not only my career but how I experience and engage with the world.    I am a leader and team member of a design studio of interior design professionals in a Design/Build/Furnish interior contracting firm. Our award-winning projects include corporate, municipal, institutional, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and a large variety of commercial interiors. I work in building code-regulated interior environments, developing architectural interior plans through comprehensive evaluation, review and analysis of the client\'s project needs and goals. I work with our clients to engage them in the interior design process, and to offer functional and aesthetic solutions to their interior space challenges. We provide a complete range of interior design services, from concepts through construction documents. My role as a Studio Lead is to market the interior design services of the firm to clients and partners, and to provide guidance to the design team. I strive to be a positive mentor to the interior designers on my team, and to foster a creative and collaborative atmosphere in our design studio.
