ABOUT LEAH LONGFOOT

Hi! I\'m Leah, a current masters student at the University of York studying Literature in the Creative and Cultural Industries. I\'m currently looking for summer opportunities, and opportunities after I graduate, particularly in the publishing industry. Here\'s a quick rundown of me: Work Experience and Volunteering- Marketing/Publishing Assistant at Radius Publishing- Books and Literature Volunteer at the British Heart Foundation- Volunteer at Tang Hall Library- Volunteer Classroom Assistant- Receptionist at Via Ferrata Cornwall- Waitress- Wellbeing Officer, Secretary and Journal Editor-in-Chief for UoY Feminist Society. Skills- Effective written and verbal communication- Presentations and public speaking - Ability to work consistently independently and with a team- Self improvement, motivation and resilience- IT skills in Microsoft Office- Customer service and rapport-building- Creativity and attention to detail- Research and bringing ideas to fruition- Organisation and planning- Social media management and design. Education- First Class English BA- 10 GCSEs A*-A including English, Business Studies, History, and Spanish- A-Levels in History (A*), Psychology (A*), English Literature (A*)- Introduction to Book Publishing - Get Into Book Publishing (UCL certificate). Other than all that though, I enjoy climbing in my free-time, both indoor and outdoor. I also enjoy writing on contemporary issues that matter to me, and create and perform poetry.
