About Leah Lee
I am currently pursuing my Juris Doctor at the University of Virginia School of Law with plans to build a transactional legal career. My passion for law and economics stems from both my lived and academic experiences. While earning my Bachelor of Arts in Government from UVA, I explored critical issues like economic inequality and political ethics through courses such as Economic Perspectives and The Welfare State. Additionally, my background as a Black woman and military child—having lived both in Japan and the U.S—along with my experience as a high school teacher in Baltimore City, have deepened my understanding of global and domestic economic disparities. With a focus on the intersection of law, business, and economic justice, I am dedicated to pursuing a career in tax and transactional law.
