Leah Kraus has 30 years of experience in education and technology. In 2014, she was selected to serve as the CIO at North Carolina Central University (NCCU) where she is today. She has received millions of dollars in support of major infrastructure projects; has been co-PI on grants and sponsorships; and has transformed information technology at NCCU. Her passion for education and technology extends to her work with the NCCU Community Leaders Program (CLP). CLP has a focus on digital literacy and equity work in the Durham community. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of Digital Durham. Leah is an experienced CIO known for transforming organizations; building partnerships with business units; improving customer service and satisfaction; and aligning IT with institutional strategic goals. She was named 2015 Best Higher Ed CIOs by Triangle Business Journal, has been featured in articles, serves on national boards and provides consulting on transforming IT organizations.
