ABOUT LEAH CAHILL

I am a researcher investigating cardiometabolic disease at Dalhousie and Harvard Universities. I am also a registered dietitian who advocates for healthy eating and patient-centered care. I am finding that it is important to incorporate the social determinants of health. My big overall research question is: how can we improve the health status of Canadians in both the prevention and treatment of disease? Specialties: Nutritional sciences, epidemiology (cardiovascular, nutritional, genetic), biostatistics, biomarkers, dietetics, public health, eating habits, coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, patient-oriented research, burden of disease, nutrition assessment.Research Group Website: https://sites.google.com/view/nourishteam
