Lead a diverse team of sixty personnel providing oversight and direction in developing an innovative software product using agile software development methodologies. This agile information technology software initiative will fully automate retirement processing, career management, and all human resource actions for over 150K customers via the new Navy Personnel & Pay (NP2) system. As Product Owner for two of the 52 software products, I lead all tri-weekly meetings supporting 175 participants, business design owners, and external stakeholders utilizing Microsoft Teams. I approved all product priorities, ensure product development was consistent and properly managed, provided subject management expert support, monitored the software development team’s velocity, agile development team training, and brief senior leadership accordingly. As HR director, oversaw all career management, administrative transactions, and retirement application processing to support approximately 160K personnel.
