ABOUT LEA ACHRAFIE
I build strategies that help innovative medicines reach the patients who need them. With experience spanning across market access, pipeline strategy, health economics, and clinical evidence analysis, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how science, policy, and payer expectations intersect to determine the success of a therapy long before launch. In my current role at Takeda, I focus on maintaining and optimizing access for on-market immunology therapies while contributing to early access strategy development for pipeline products to strengthen launch readiness and access outcomes. At AbbVie, I worked across therapeutic areas to guide early asset strategy, supporting Go/No-Go decisions, developing early access strategies, anticipating evolving HTA and policy trends, and designing portfolio and indication sequencing strategies that position assets for long-term value. Before AbbVie, I worked in market access consulting, leading clinical sections of HTA submissions, supporting economic model development, and conducting rigorous evidence reviews to strengthen value narratives across multiple indications and markets. I am motivated by the belief that great science only matters if people can access it. That belief continues to guide my work, whether I’m assessing policy shifts, reviewing trial protocols, building cross-functional alignment, or shaping the launch trajectory of high-impact therapies.Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, I thrive in collaborative, fast-moving environments where diverse perspectives drive better decisions. If you work in pharmaceutical strategy, access, HEOR, clinical development, or policy, I’d love to connect.
