Let’s face it: finding the right insurance can be intimidating. The wrong insurance can cost you and your business more money than it saves, but the right insurance secures peace of mind. I am passionate about helping my clients prepare for the future’s challenges by equipping them with the best-tailored insurance programs possible.I started my risk management career over twenty years ago with little direction and a vague idea of what I wanted to do for a living. Since then, I’ve helped build communities in both the professional insurance world and with my clients. My journey began after obtaining an MBA in Marketing and Consulting from the Wake Forest University School of Business, graduating in 2002. I’ve since received my Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research, and most recently received my Associates in Captive Insurance (ACI) after two years of education at the International Center for Captive Insurance Education.My devotion to assisting those in need extends beyond my professional life. I was elected to serve on the board of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association on two different occasions, from 20••••21 (served as Board Chair 20••••21) and 2023-present (currently am Secretary). From 20••••20, I served on the board of directors for St. Vincent’s Home Services, devoted to assisting children and young adults with autism. In July 2013, my wife and I started the Roanoke Valley chapter of the iCan Shine Bike Camp, an international nonprofit organization teaching children with disabilities how to ride a bike. I am also a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, volunteering my time as a stewardship chair and formerly as a vestry member. I am graduate of Leadership Roanoke Valley (class of 2011) and served three subsequent years as an advisor to LRV.I’m here to serve those who want transparency and creativity, and I pride myself on my ability to break down concepts in simple-to-digest explanations, no matter your level of insurance expertise.
