About Lea Litvin
Lea Litvin is a licensed architect, LEED accredited professional and co-founder / principal of boutique WBE-certified architecture firm Lo Design. Lea is also the co-founder and partner of Built Work, a construction company in Philadelphia, and a partner of Cambridge Commons, a social impact development group in West Philadelphia. Lea’s experience ranges from residential and commercial design to campus-scale institutional projects like the multi-billion dollar, LEED Platinum US Embassy in London with architecture firm KieranTimberlake. Through her work leading Lo Design, Lea has helped countless clients bring detailed, technical and beautiful residential and commercial projects to completion. In 2017, Lea was selected for the prestigious Rose Architectural Fellowship. From 2017 through 2019, she served as the development project manager at HopePHL in West Philadelphia, a nonprofit community development corporation with over 200 units of affordable housing. Throughout her time at HopePHL, Lea managed over $20MM of publicly-funded projects including 60 units of affordable housing, gaining invaluable community development, finance, and tax credit experience. Lea also led a variety of mixed-use commercial projects, public space improvements, and served on the Housing Committee for the West Philadelphia Promise Zone.Currently, Lea serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Design Collaborative since 2017, and prior to board service she was an active volunteer for the Collaborative’s pro bono design projects. She is currently an adjunct professor of Architecture in the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences, and she has also served as a Director with the Center City Residents’ Association. Lea received her Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design and her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.
