ABOUT LEA JINERT

My name is Lea Jinert, I am half Swedish and half French born and raised in the south of Sweden. I came to Scotland in 2013 to study a MA in International Business with French at the University of Dundee. I quickly fell in love with this beautiful country and decided to stay and do my MSc in Sustainable Development and Environmental Economics at The University of St. Andrews. In 2019 I started working as a Business Support officer for Historic Environment Scotland. Here, I was part of an amazing project called Our Place in Time where I provide support for the Climate Change Working Group and The Built Heritage Investment Plan. This has been an extraordinary opportunity for me as the project is in line with my passion and interest in sustainable development. I was temporarily promoted to Policy Manager which gave me more experience in policy on both the national and international level. In 2021 I joined the NSS as a project support officer working on high-profile projects and programmes such as the Covid and Flu vaccination programme, Preventative & Proactive Care Programme and recently the Service Renewal Framework. In 2026 I was promoted to a band 7 Project Manager. When I am not working, I love surfing, travelling, eating (yes I count this as a hobby), hiking, wild camping and spending time with my friends. I also like watching series and movies but I am one of those annoying people that you can\'t ever watch anything with because I\'ve already seen it all. But suggestions are always welcomed.
