About Beau L. Underwood
I am a professional comic book inker with a wide variety of skills and experience. Former Marvel and Valiant Comics Art Director Don Perlin served as my mentor. I have been fortunate to have gained knowledge from many great professionals in the comic industry. Various professionals have given me the motivation and direction to reach my goals in the comic industry. I have inked for several publishers including Marvel Enterprises,DC Comics, Image Comics, Zenescope, Digital Webbing, Dabel Brothers Productions, Angelgate, as well as many other small press publishers. Past projects include inking Noble Causes, Fantastic Four, Static Shock, Stormwatch and G.I. Joe, as well as many other titles. My style varies and plays to the strengths of the penciler to whom I am assigned. Currently, I am a freelance inker for Marvel and Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, and DC Comics. Open to any comic-related project or on-going assignment. I have been nominated several times (2019, 2020, 2021) for the Inkwell Award in two categories and have worked on an Eisner nominated title (The Immortal Hulk). I am professional in my work ethic, dedicated to self-improvement, and I always bring my A-game.Specialties: Proficient skills with brush and crowquill inking. Can ink over a variety of different pencillers.
