Having grown up with the company, I have a thorough understanding of the business and the portable buildings industry. As managing director I am responsible for managing a team of 25 staff on a day to day basis. We are a family firm with a passion for what we do and it shows in our workmanship and impressive customer service. Springfield manufacture buildings in modules that offer the same high standards as traditionally built facilities but with greater flexibility. They can be sealed together to form a single integrated unit of up to 3 storeys high. I enjoy my job negotiating and closing deals with customers. With our massive range of options, it is very satisfying to be able to provide each customer with the bespoke buildings they require. Our design team have an extensive knowledge of the best quality materials and techniques and often provide innovative solutions for design challenges. I work as one of the design team using CAD modelling to help customers visualise their completed building. We know the most efficient way to produce portable buildings and give you the best value for money. From the initial design stages through to installation and final fit of the building, each customer is assigned one member of staff as their point of contact. This continuous contact gives us the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to developing lasting relationships with our clients - built on trust, honesty and attention to detail. I am responsible for scheduling the work in the factory and also out on the sites where buildings will be delivered. The dedicated project manager for the job will coordinate the trades fitting plumbing, electric supply and other services, before the building is finally handed over to the customer. We always deal directly with the customer avoiding any middlemen.
