ABOUT LINA DEMNATI

Titulaire d’une maîtrise en sciences politiques et en études féministes. Passionnée par le développement des communautés et la justice sociale, elle cumule 19 ans d’expérience professionnelle au Canada, en Afrique et en Asie. Elle possède une expertise reconnue dans la gestion de projets collectifs à fort impact social, axés sur la lutte contre les inégalités, selon une approche intersectionnelle, inclusive et fondée sur les droits humains. Elle occupe actuellement le poste de Leader thématique principale – Gouvernance inclusive et action humanitaire au sein du CECI. À ce titre, elle dirige des projets d’envergure dans des contextes fragiles (conflits, crises etc) visant à renforcer la cohésion sociale via la participation citoyenne et la promotion d’un espace civique inclusif et égalitaire. Elle assure également le positionnement stratégique de l’organisation sur les enjeux de gouvernance inclusive, ainsi que l’opérationnalisation du nexus Humanitaire–Développement–Paix. Lina holds a master’s degree in political science and feminist studies. Passionate about community development and social justice, she has 19 years of professional experience across Canada, Africa, and Asia. She has recognized expertise in managing high-impact collective projects focused on combating inequalities, guided by an intersectional, inclusive, and human rights-based approach. She currently serves as Lead Thematic Expert – Inclusive Governance and Humanitarian Action at CECI. In this role, she leads large-scale initiatives in fragile contexts affected by conflict and protracted crises, aiming to strengthen social cohesion through citizen participation and the promotion of an inclusive and equitable civic space. She also ensures the strategic positioning of the organization on issues related to inclusive governance, as well as the operationalization of the Humanitarian–Development–Peace Nexus.
