ABOUT LUIS CADAVID
I am an Practice Architect at TEKsystems, an award-winning entrepreneur, and a writer.Last year, I was awarded the \'CUSE 50 Alumni Entrepreneur award alongside the founders of SoFi and Scrub Daddy. This recognition adds to a series of accolades earned throughout my career for innovation, leadership, and operational excellence across sectors.I hold a Master’s in Management with a focus on Strategy and Leadership. I also attended London Business School for an Executive Education program in Human Resources, and completed coursework toward a Master’s in Sustainability at the University of British Columbia—though I chose not to defend the thesis. I earned my undergraduate degree in Classical Civilizations at Syracuse University, where my lifelong obsession with history was first institutionalized.That obsession was instilled by my grandfather and parents—who met in the Soviet Union. As a result, I speak three languages and was raised across Ecuador, Colombia, and Russia.At TEKsystems, my most significant achievement has been transforming a team of 6 Spanish speakers into LaaS—a force of 106, fluent in over 24 languages and 50+ dialects.While working at Meta via TEKsystems, I identified a critical vulnerability in the model temperature parameters that led to unsafe generative responses. My findings led to the foundation for Purple Llama, Meta’s safety initiative in open-source alignment.I am a father, a car enthusiast, a cook, and a historian.
