As the Director of Technology, I am responsible for developing and implementing a strategic technology roadmap that supports the organization\'s educational plan. I lead the Vancouver School Board IT team of 5 direct leaders and 50 IT professionals supporting the district\'s security, infrastructure, applications, service, and device management of end users.\\\\n\\\\nMy main responsibilities include:\\\\n\\\\n· Manage the $12M technology budget and allocate resources to various technology initiatives. This includes evaluating and prioritizing projects, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective use of technology resources.\\\\n\\\\n· Build and lead a high-performance technology team. Which involves hiring and developing talented professionals, defining roles, and aligning the team’s organizational structure.\\\\n\\\\n· Drive innovation by assessing emerging technologies, and industry trends to leverage technological advancements to the district\'s advantage.\\\\n\\\\n· Ensure the integrity, availability, and privacy of the organizations\' data.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
