Achieved up to a 30% improvement in rendering speeds within The Rodel Simulator by employing model instancing techniques that streamlined draw calls while maintaining high-quality visuals throughout complex scenes. Crafted a comprehensive LOD framework that lowered unnecessary triangle render counts based on camera distance, producing up to 50 frames per second improvements under complex simulation scenarios with diverse terrains. Developed a custom Culling Mechanism that streamlined rendering processes, allowing for optimal performance of Model Instancing and achieving over 60 frames per second on complex 3D models in web browsers. Engineered an optimized algorithm in Python which grouped diverse areas represented in a 2D matrix, resulting in more efficient access to neighborhood-related insights critical for urban planning projects.
