I founded and led a club called Helping Hands at my school, dedicated to community service. In Winter 2022, we successfully collected and donated over 1200 clothing items. Additionally, we created 350 cards for children in hospitals, 50 yarn toys for their comfort, and 35 cards to express gratitude to janitors. Our donations were distributed to the Lamb Center, The Adams Place Emergency Center, and local non-profits. To maximize involvement, we strategically placed collection boxes throughout Fairfax, including gymnastics centers and libraries. We engaged over 220 students from our school and even reached out to more than 90 individuals outside. With a membership growth of nearly 40 in just a few months, we ensured that all students, including those unavailable after school, could contribute by completing assignments at home.
