About Layla Dahir

My name is Layla Dahir, and I\'m a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota, where I earned my Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Management. I\'ve always been passionate about improving the healthcare system and using leadership, collaboration, and innovation to make a real difference in people\'s lives. During my time at the University of Minnesota, I developed a strong foundation in healthcare operations, quality improvement, and community health. Most recently, I completed a Community Health Internship with the Community Health & Partnerships Department at HealthPartners, where I supported public health initiatives, including Make It OK, Little Moments Count, Teen Leadership Council, and PowerUp. Through this role, I gained hands-on experience in community outreach, event coordination, and health equity advocacy, working directly with partners to promote mental health awareness and healthy living. I\'m passionate about creating systems that are more equitable, accessible, and people-centered. As I continue my professional journey, I aspire to work in roles that focus on healthcare operations, community partnerships, and improving health outcomes for underserved populations.
