ABOUT LAYAN ELSAQQA
Hi, I’m Layan! I’m an undergraduate Life Sciences student at the University of Toronto, interested in pursuing a career in animal care. I’m passionate about animal welfare, conservation, and community service, and I’m eager to gain hands-on experience through volunteer or internship opportunities in any of those fields.Beyond academics, I’ve been active in youth leadership and community service initiatives. Through the Seeds of Leadership program, I’ve led impact projects, founded a youth-senior connection initiative, and helped organize events promoting equity and social awareness for different minority groups. I also worked as a marketing intern for PSSAR, a nonprofit supporting Palestinian students and scholars at risk, and I’m currently co-leading a newcomer youth leadership program in partnership with Seeds of Leadership and National Zakat Foundation.I’m always looking to learn, grow, and contribute to my community in any way I can.
