ABOUT LAYA RANGU
I’ve always been fascinated by how technology transforms data into intelligent systems that solve real-world problems. Over time, I’ve turned that passion into practical skills across AI/ML, software engineering, and cloud computing. At PepsiCo GBS, I automated Azure cloud resource management and optimized Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) processes—enhancing efficiency, security, and onboarding workflows. This experience strengthened my expertise in automation, PowerShell scripting, and cloud infrastructure, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world implementation.Earlier, during my research internship at NIT Warangal, I engineered an image colorization pipeline using OpenCV and deep learning, transforming grayscale images into realistic color outputs. I also worked on full-stack web development projects, designing responsive applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) and optimizing data structures for faster performance. These experiences deepened my interest in computer vision, scalable system design, and data-driven problem solving.Now, as a Master’s in Computer Science student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (graduating May 2026), I continue to expand my expertise in AI, data analytics, and full-stack development. My goal is to keep pushing the boundaries of technology and make a meaningful impact through innovation.
