As a Senior Finance Manager at Caterpillar Financial, India, I lead a team of seven, ensuring the closure of books in compliance with USGAAP and India GAAP (Ind AS). I oversee Internal Controls compliance and manage the preparation and review of annual forecasts for Cat Financial, India. This involves conducting periodic reviews, comparing forecasts with actuals, and managing profit center reporting.In addition to these duties, my team is responsible for tax-related compliances, both direct and indirect, including regular periodic returns and supporting existing assessments and audits. I am also responsible for planning, budgeting, and related reviews, ensuring smooth statutory audits under Ind AS, and maintaining compliance with MCA and other local regulations. Furthermore, my team manage all RBI-related regulatory reporting.My role involves working closely with respective Business Units and Process leads to support on finance-related matters, driving efficiency and accuracy in our financial operations.
